This Privacy Policy explains how the Electrician Apprentice Hours mobile application (“the App,” “we,” “our”) handles your information. We built this App with a simple privacy principle: your data belongs to you and stays on your device.
1. Summary
- The App does not require an account, login, or registration.
- All information you enter is stored locally on your device only.
- We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information.
- The App contains no advertising and no third-party ad or tracking SDKs.
- The App works fully offline. No internet connection is required to use it.
2. Information You Enter Into the App
To use the App, you may enter information such as:
- Your name, training program, state, apprentice/registration ID, and apprenticeship level (all optional);
- On-the-job training (OJT) hour entries, including dates, hours worked, work categories, and notes;
- Employer records, including company names, supervisor names, and supervisor license numbers;
- Values you type into the electrical calculators.
All of this information is stored only in the App’s local database on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers or any third party. We have no ability to see, access, or recover it.
3. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App does not use analytics services, advertising identifiers, tracking technologies, or third-party data collection SDKs.
4. Exports You Create
The App can generate PDF and CSV documents summarizing your logged hours. These files are created on your device. If you choose to share or send an exported file (for example, by email, AirDrop, or a cloud storage app), that sharing is performed by you through your device’s standard sharing features and is subject to the privacy practices of the service you choose. We do not receive a copy of your exports.
5. Notifications
If you enable the optional daily logging reminder, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These reminders are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any external service.
6. Data Storage, Backup, and Deletion
- Storage: All App data lives on your device. If your device backs up to iCloud or your computer through Apple’s standard device backup, your App data may be included in that backup under your Apple account, controlled by your device settings — not by us.
- Deletion: You can delete individual entries, employers, or categories inside the App at any time. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all App data stored on that device.
- Our access: Because we never receive your data, we cannot view, restore, or delete it on your behalf.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is a professional tool intended for electrician apprentices and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no data, no personal information from children is ever received by us.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you may have rights regarding personal data, such as access, correction, or deletion. Because we do not collect or hold any of your personal data, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete. You maintain full control of your data directly on your device.
9. Security
Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security features, including device passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, and Apple’s data protection encryption. We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode and keeping iOS up to date.
10. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party services that collect data. If this changes in a future version (for example, an optional cloud backup feature), we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before release, and any such feature will be optional.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be noted in the App’s update notes.
